One woman can change anything
Many women can change everything
We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day on Tuesday 8th March 20ll with "It's a Woman's World" at Leigh Sports Village with nearly 300 ladies enjoying a catwalk show, stalls selling handbags, jewellery, lingerie, skincare, honey products, chocolates, instant manicures, optical wear, marquee hire. "Bridged the World" with famous bridges linked with our bra collection
Bra Collection: This on-going campaign which has proved very successful will be continued during 2011/12 with the aim of collecting as many old Bras as possible to raise cash for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre, based in the Northwest at the Christie Hospital.
Due to the generosity of the ladies across the area, including people from Culcheth, Wigan and even across the Pennine's in Halifax we have collected around 8700 bras this year and with the generosity of local shoppers in the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre we raised £755 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
We are hoping to collect even more bras in 2012!!!
This is a great way to fund raise as it doesn't cost anyone to donate an old bra that they no longer use. It is good for the environment as the bras will go for recycling and then the money raised from this will go to charity.
